1. Objectives

    1. To participate in exhilarating outdoor activities and trips.

    2. To serve the community through various projects.

    3. To promote personal growth and leadership.

  2. Membership

    1. Membership is open to anyone 14 years of age or older (or 13 and having completed the eighth grade) up to 21 years of age.

    2. Members must complete a BSA application and pay a $25 membership fee annually.

      1. Annual membership fee is waived if a Boy Scout in good standing.

      2. An additional Crew 208 membership fee of  $25 will be collected to cover cost of supplies and administrative fees.

      3. Members above the age of 18 must also complete Venturing Youth Protection training and produce child protective clearances.

    3. No member may be disqualified based on race, sex, or religion.

    4. Members must agree to follow the Venturing Code and Bylaws.

  3. Officers

    1. Elections will be held for President, Administrative Vice President, Program Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

      1. Elections will be held in early August of each year. The term of each office is one year.

      2. Officers are open to all crew members.

      3. Duties of elected officers are outlined Venturing Advisor Position-Specific Training manual.

    2. Nominations for each position must be presented on the floor by any member on the night of the election.

      1. A nomination must be seconded by another member.

      2. If the candidate accepts the nomination, they will be included on the ballot.

      3. All ballots will remain secret.  

    3. If an officer is not fulfilling his/her responsibilities, all remaining officers may make a unanimous vote to remove him/her from his/her office. The officers may then appoint an interim officer until the next election.

  4. Code of Conduct

    1. The Crew has a zero-tolerance policy on alcohol, drugs, and sexual behavior.

    2. Violations will be addressed with Crew advisors on a case-by-case basis.

      1. Any member found in violation on an outing will be sent home by the nearest available transportation at his/her own expense.

  5. Crew Business

    1. Meetings will be held bi-weekly on Mondays on 7pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Meetings will be announced on the Google Calendar.

    2. To amend the bylaws, members must vote by at two-thirds majority of the Crew.

      1. Bylaws must be reviewed annually in January by the Officers.

    3. Any fundraising projects must be approved by a simple majority vote of the crew.

    4. The Crew will complete three service projects yearly.
